Individual Learning Account (ILA)
An ILA is a simple way to get up to £200 a year towards the cost of learning something new. It's a Scottish Government scheme available to anyone living in Scotland who is over the age of 16, has an income of £22,000 or less per year, or is on benefits.
If you are thinking of studying higher level education, find out about the ILA 500 - a scheme which could provide you with a £500 training budget towards your HNC, HND or Degree course.
The money is not a loan - so you don't have to pay any of it back.
There is no upper age limit.
Learning something new could help you earn more money, get a better job, or do something you really enjoy.
There are lots of courses on offer.
Drop into any of the Centres to find out more or to seek advice.
Alternatively call the ILA Scotland helpline free on 0808 100 1090
Whatever course you choose, make sure that you have applied for your individual learning account and that you have received your account card and account number before booking a course as you cannot use your ILA funds to pay for a course that you have already booked.
